Warum nicht einfach mal Herausforderungen im Unternehmen an die Crowd zur Lösung ausschreiben? Diesem Motto folgend haben VDMA und Fraunhofer gemeinsam vom 17.-19. Mai 2019 einen Hackathon für den Maschinenbau in Berlin veranstaltet. Die Unternehmen KSB, Rolls-Royce Power Systems und F&S Bondtec hatten diverse Aufgaben rund um die Themen Datenübertragung, Fernwartung, Augmented Reality und Predictive Maintenance im Gepäck- und Gründer, Forscher und Startups stellten sich den Herausforderungen. Digitalization is the key to mechanical engineering and will shape industry to an even greater extent in the future. The ideas of many start-up companies are becoming increasingly relevant in this context. In the year of its 125th anniversary, the VDMA is therefore launching its Startup Machine: a new grouping that intends to bring together start-up companies and mechanical engineering companies, and support joint projects (http://future.vdma.org/startups).
